Mitchelle Harvey is one of ten children. Born with a bi-lateral cleft lip and palate, she learned that being different can cause problems. At six years old, she started drawing and writing to cope. She used her strong faith and education to succeed. The first in her extended family to earn a college degree, whe encouraged her family members not to congratulate her, but to follow her.
